Scared and Stinky
We were getting ready to go out on Saturday night when we noticed our dog was nowhere to be found. Turns out the batteries had worn out in her radio collar, so she escaped the perimeter of her radio fence. We looked in the usual spots for her (and some unusual spots), but didn't find her until we got a call the next morning. It seems she had at least one encounter with a nighttime critter, and she is extremely stinky. We tried the remedy for a skunking from Slug Bread and Beheaded Thistles (bathe with laundry detergent, rinse with vinegar&water, follow up with a baking soda rubdown and a rinse), and it helped noticeably, but she's still pretty stinky. But at least she's not as shaken up as she was when we found her.
