Don Box reports on some interesting .NET benchmarks. He points out that there is a speed gain going from Windows 2000 to .NET Server 2003. It seems to me that .NET Server 2003 is, among many other things, a tweaked-out edition of Windows XP. I recently switched from XP to 2000 under Virtual PC because XP seems slower than 2000. So, is the next logical step to install Windows .NET Server 2003? Perhaps. I'm sure I'll give it a try and see how it does. Perhaps it will become my virtual .NET development environment of choice.

jaiteend writes that turning off DMA on your virtual hard drive may increase the performance of Linux under Virtual PC for Mac OS X. This will be an interesting thread to watch if others report on their experiences with it.

Nicholas Riley compares Sprint's all-you-can-eat pricing to T-Mobile's. Two questions to ask the sales rep if you decide to go with the Sprint PCS Vision plan:
Can I get my laptop on the PCS Vision network through a cell phone (I know I can't with the Danger Hiptop)?
Does the PCS Vision all-you-can-eat pricing go back to per-megabyte after a year (as does the T-Mobile plan, at least as I've been told).
