Rory and I have
been planning a nerd/geek dinner for this coming Friday (March 12) at
6:30pm. We’ve settled on the Providence Place Mall food court, and you’re all
invited. Apologies for the short notice, and we promise advance warning
next time!

Update: A couple people have asked me why we’d choose the
Providence Place Mall food court. I’ve been to one of the Scoble-organized geek dinners at a food court, and it works
great for a number of reasons:

No need for head count (scales really well)

People can come whenever they want

People can leave whenever they want (no waiting around for the check)

Not a problem for out-of-work geeks

People don’t feel that they have to eat; they can just get a coffee

The center of attention is people, not food.
