Do you know the folks at BetaSpring:

Owen Johnson, Jack Templin, Alan Tear and TJ Sonderman.

I was thinking of helping them promote BetaSpring among the geeks of Boston but I would like to know they are good solid citizen of your fair state.

Hey Brian – I am finally going to be in your neighbourhood this summer – will be driving from NY to Boston on Thursday, August 12. I just need to have some historic site or whatever as an excuse to stop in Providence and hopefully have a coffee with you, maybe down at AS220. So can you point me towards the coolest stop in Providence. Hope you are available that day.

    Cheers

  3. Dear Brian,

I saw you post “From Google Docs to InDesign”.

I have written a book in Google Docs that I’m planning to typeset in InDesign.
I want to keep editing and adding to the Google Docs document, while I’m typesetting.

Is there a way to have the Indesign document be “dynamically” linked to the Google Docs document? So that changes made in Google Docs can be easily “pulled into” the InDesign document?

I have tried to save the Google Docs file as an RTF and I have imported that RTF as a linked file into my InDesign file, but every time I update the RTF the InDesign formatting is lost.

    I’d appreciate your help.

    Sincerely

    Hi Brian,

I’m really interested in your Processing for iPad method, as I think it may be just what I need to develop a tablet-based data collection tool written in Processing.

What are the limits of this method, specifically with file IO? Is IO still possible with Processing running only in a browser, or is there any way to get around this problem?

    Thanks a lot,

    Neel

  5. Hi Brian,
I already left a comment because of your great processing js Mini IDE. It really would be great if you could implement this http://bowr.de/blog/?p=142 workaround for touch events. Maybe with the touch event functions as template and that scrolling through the code with your fingertip would be possible.
All the best, hope you are fine,
    regards,
    Sebastian

Thanks, Sebastian. I haven’t had time to work on this lately. If I put it in a github repository, would you be interested in working on the code?

    Hi Brian,

I was looking for instruction on how to build a
sio2pc cable and found pictures of your
project at Flickr. Do you have any instructions
and where to buy the parts for it specially the
little board with the connectors that you show
    on the last picture.

    Thanks

    Hi Brian,

I’ve been working through your red park connection tutorial on Make.com and everything works until the last step when I connect the iPhone to the device. I am trying to get this to work for a project for friday and have tried everything including replacing the chip on the P4. If you have any thoughts on what might be causing the problem I would love to hear them.

    Thanks,
